BK-200B is a product with high gelling efficiency over low, medium and high polarity organic liquids, it is easy of dispersion especially in styrene and alcohol solvent. It can replace fumed silica in epoxy resin systems and unsaturated resin systems with better thixotropy performance.

BK-200B belongs to the unconventional type of organoclays group, being an easy-to-disperse, self-activated organoclay, BK-200B does not require a chemical (polar) activator to reach the proper level of delamination of the organoclay platelet stacks. However, in systems like styrene, xylene,200#solvent oil and compound solvent, pre-gel method is also acceptable.

The amount of BK-200B rheological additive required depends upon the type of organic system and the degree of thickening or other properties desired. Addition levels are typically between 0.2%-0.6% based on the total formulation weight. For special purpose, for example, in hand layup unsaturated resin,1-6% is recommended.
