New paint line in operation by PPG

PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) has certified PHI KHA’s new paint system line in its factory in Tien Son Industrial Park, Bac Ninh, Vietnam, for the application of Duranar(R) polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) coatings and powder coatings.
The fully automatic paint line, which began production in October 2009, runs at a speed of about 2 meters per minute to bring aluminum bars into automatic powder-coating spraying chambers. Finished products are coated aluminum extrusion items such as cladding, curtainwalls, window frames and glazing systems, all of which meet the American Architectural Manufacturers Association’s international standards. Proposed annual output capacity for the line is 200,000 square meters of coated aluminum with multicolor painting.
